Since I’m pretty flat broke I have to make do with what I have at home to create my little studio lightbox. So I’m practicing to take product shots. I had bought a white lightbox about 2 years ago and it had been sitting in the garage collecting dust, cobwebs, and dirt so I decided to take it out and clean it up a bit. I had also bought two clip on table lamps but the wattage isn’t strong enough and is too direct but if I need extra light, at least I have them. Then I converted my Wii box into a stand to hold products on for height and a little more stability.
I also use a tripod, and a remote trigger. This is about the only time I use Live View on my camera. And to add some extra light, I have my 430EXII Speedlite. Don’t tell anyone, but I’m still learning how to use that too!
For shits and giggles, I used my Lens cap from my Tamron to practice with and then took out Cleo to do some product modeling for me. I used my old Sony A350 camera and lens and put her on both for some shots. These are the results from today.
